Description:

Stormwater feature classes in this feature dataset were collected and edited by County of Marin DPW staff working under the County Local Stormwater Program. The purpose of the feature dataset is to create a single storage location for the Unincorporated County stormwater data in a format that is compatible with and facilitates data upload to the "MARINMAP.DBO.STORMWATER" SDE Feature Dataset. Also, this feature dataset is a centralized storage location for all Unincorporated County stormwater data and enables efficient display and query of the data. The data were initially compiled into a file geodatabase that was created by exporting the "MARINMAP.DBO.STORMWATER" SDE Feature Dataset schema as an XML Workspace, then importing the schema into an empty file geodatabase. The schema export did not include the "*_LegacyID_Anno24" Feature Classes or the "Anno_*" Relationship classes from the complete Marin Map Feature Dataset schema, which are not used by the County Local Stormwater Program. The imported schema did include the Feature Classes, Topology, and Domains. Additional attribute fields were added to the feature classes to contain GPS export attributes and other information included in the source data collection files, as well as other attributes that are populated after upload, (such as “ST_ID”*, unique formatted feature ID’s, "MM_upload", to track feature upload to MarinMap, as well a "FC_Zone" and "Watershed_WSP"). Future stormwater data collected by the County Local Stormwater Program, as well as previously collected data not already uploaded, will also be uploaded to the feature classes in the feature dataset.

*The Stormwater ID field ("ST_ID", alias "Stormwater ID") is an alphanumeric identifier for stormwater features collected or digitized by the Stormwater Program and Marin County DPW staff.
