Other attributes (YES/NO fields) were added to identify what activities occur at the site (“Vegetation Maintenance “Sediment Removal”, “Erosion”, “Pump Station”, “Tide Gate”, “Levee Maintenance”, “Fuels Reduction”, “Cattail Cutting”). Note that the Fuels Reduction activity is not part of the SMP but is a maintenance activity required for fire safety.

The layer “RMA_Sites.shp” was used as as a source of values for the “NAME”, and “SiteName” attributes. The spreadsheets “RMA_DFG_List.xlsx” and “AppA_RMA_ProjectAreas_Sites_201206_Update.xlsx” (in directory P:\Flood-Control\Maintenance\RMA\East Marin RMA\Spreadsheets for Activities\) were used as references to the project sites and as a source of the activities values. The maps and the “AppA_RMA_” spreadsheet listed above were also used to identify “Fuels Reduction” and “Cattail Cutting“ activities separately from “Vegetation Maintenance” listed on the “RMA_DFG_List.xlsx” spreadsheet. EL 06/2012

The data were updated in 2019 to indicate which segments have vegetation maintenance performed by Conservation Corps North Bay (CCNB) crews under direction from the Marin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. The maintenance frequency is indicated in the field "VegFrequency". Frequency of activities other than vegetation maintenance is not indicated. Attributes for SMP Site names and CCNB reaches labeled on the map set produced for the CCNB crews were also added to the dataset. Note that this is a draft data layer, and the specific activities listed and the Maintenance Responsibility assigned for the current spatial extents of the segments may not be accurate and need verification and refinement.
