For the most part, situs addresses are placed on building footprints. The situs address may be different from the mailing address in cases of rental property or where mail is delivered to a post office box. Situs addresses have also been given to some parcels that do not yet have structures built. They have been assigned to some pump stations and water tanks that required addresses for location.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>

Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><P><SPAN>These files contain building outline products for Marin County. The project encompasses the Urban/Suburban land area of Marin County with a 200 feet fringe outside the county boundary. The Digital Terrain Models (DTM) data developed over the Urban/Suburban area mainland covers approximately 210 square miles and over the rural and forest areas covering approximately 525 sq. miles to produce the 100 scale and 400 scale mapping Contours and Ortho Imagery. Builiding footprint outlines cover the same extent as the DTM. Building footprints were produced using stereo pairs from the 2004 orthophoto project to ensure that the on ground bases were captured, and are accurately depicted against a backdrop of the orthophoto sources.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV>
Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN>The location and boundaries of Easements and other Real Estate Property Agreements are represented by polygons created by the Flood Control District based on maps and legal descriptions in Real Estate documents (deeds, other recorded documents, and other District property agreements), Assessor’s Parcel Maps, Record of Survey maps and other official maps, and from hand drawn features in hard-copy District Creek Books. Features are drawn to align with Parcel boundaries from the County of Marin GIS Parcel dataset, and are representational only. Data are not survey precise. Horizontal Positional Accuracy varies from + /- 5 feet up to +/- 50 feet. The attribute “AgreementID" in the GIS layer corresponds to the field “ID” in associated Access database table records that include document numbers, map references, and a summary of other information about each agreement. Some spatial features have not yet been linked to records in the Access database and donot have a value for "“AgreementID". Some records in the Access database have not yet been represented by a GIS feature, and do not reference a specific location by APN number. Data are not complete, and additions, updates, and corrections to the data area ongoing. </SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
