Description: The 2010 Census Block Geometry was re-generated using line features from MarinMapSDE. Where possible, Census block edges were matched by feature type to select the MarinMap geometry. In cases of conflicting or insufficient information, original Census geometry was used in the regeneration. In some cases, following the definition of the block edges altered the resulting topological structure of the Census blocks and certain small, unpopulated blocks were eliminated. These, along with some sliver blocks, were not included into this rectified geometry. However, no populated blocks were dropped.Census Block Geometry can be joined to data tables P1_P2_2010, P3_P4_H1_2010 and P12_2010 containing population and housing attributes. The join column is LOGRECNO. The data dictionary describing the table attributes can be found at the Census Bureau website:http://www.census.gov/prod/cen2010/doc/sf1.pdf
